EVALUATE YOUR WEB SITE FOR DESIGN, ACCESSIBILITY AND USABILITY

Access Statistics

If your site is hosted with VoyageurWeb, our server logs each request it receives for a file on your web site. A request, also called an "access" or "hit," may originate from a user, web cache, search engine or firewall.

sample chart from statistics summary program A program runs each evening to summarize this information into reports. The main report summarizes top page and site accesses, and once a week a summary with more detail is generated for you.

Track accesses to your site at: http://__[your web site address]__/usage

Example: http://www.greatermankato.com/usage/

You'll find more information on how to interpret your web site usage statistics at: http://www.voyageurweb.com/statsguide/

Before and After

Before you create your new web site or before you remodel your existing web site, record a few things so you can check later to see if they have changed. Put it on your calendar to check these things every 6 or 12 months. Make sure your project manager at VoyageurWeb is aware of the things you are measuring so they can make suggestions for ways to maximize the things you are monitoring. And we can help with ideas for how to measure too!
